''Lizzie Williams makes a wish… and doesn’t realise someone is listening’’

Lizzie and Charles Williams were childhood best friends who have been married for years, they know each other better than they know themselves. However, after starting a family starts to seem impossible for them, Lizzie makes a wish in a moment of desperation that she never imagined would come true. Waking up at nineteen again, Lizzie becomes determined not to make the same mistakes as last time. The question is, is she solving her problems or simply creating more of them?

Melissa Morgan’s debut novel, ‘Forget Me Not’ is the type of romance you’ll want to read over and over again as it takes you on a magical journey of laughter, tears and heart-warming joy. From the very first page, I was engrossed in Charles and Lizzie’s relationship and infatuated by the depth of their personalities. Melissa truly has one of the most beautiful writing styles I’ve ever come across. From the way she gracefully touched on the topic of stillbirth to the magical portrayal of time travel, each chapter had me completely blown away.

One of my favourite things about ‘Forget Me Not’ is its ability to make you so invested in the state of the Lizzie and Charles relationship even when they’re arguing. I rooted for them the whole way through the book and felt the highs and lows that they experienced themselves. I’ve read a fair amount of Romance books, but I wouldn’t say it’s my favourite genre as too often they become far to predictable or I struggle to stay at the same level of interest the whole way through. However, this book is completely different and once again due to Melissa’s incredible writing style you’ll find yourself glued to the pages the minute you pick it up.

It is without a doubt that I will be giving this book a five-star rating and there’s a good chance you that you will too!
